Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)

KAP is a mental health treatment method that uses the medicine ketamine as a complement to psychotherapy to support eligible clients in their work through various mental and emotional challenges. It is particularly useful for those who are feeling stuck in some aspect of their regular talk therapy. Many people have experienced therapeutic breakthroughs with KAP at a significantly faster rate than traditional talk therapy and found lasting relief from depression. This modality can help people face previously unbearable emotions, bring on new perspectives, and offer personal insights.

TP LLC supports this process in the following ways:

  • Offer additional information and resources to further your understanding on this treatment modality.

  • Refer you to our consulting physician who will support you with the medical aspects of the treatment. This includes determining eligibility, medication regimen and dosing, prescription, and monitoring.

  • Provide in-person preparation and medicine sessions, and virtual integration support. The role of the therapist is to create a safe environment, to help people stay with difficult material, and to support people to integrate new insights, emotions and thoughts.

  • When applicable, consult with your current therapist or counselor to share information and bridge the two treatment spaces.
